In our depths lives a secret and immense Self.
It is a Self that flows in an undulating wave of sweet harmony and it is united with a wisdom that is without end.
Each one of us is cohabiting with this Self, but the depth of this inner ocean is silenced by the noise from the outside and the currents of our thoughts, feelings and desires.
Sometimes we receive intuitions that do not belong to our intellect. These perceptions tell us with a word, show us a path or reveal a truth about ourselves. They guide and protect us. However, we rarely pay attention to these intuitive voices and seldom do we stop to reflect on the wisdom that rises up to the surface, about its place of origin or why it appeared.
It is possible to cultivate the expression of this Self if we pause our exclusive concentration on the outer stimuli and direct our attention towards the inner world. Little by little we will realize that the voice within is waiting to manifest itself. With its help, we will start to experience an elevation in our consciousness and with its strength, we can liberate ourselves from anxieties, insecurities, and damaging psychological movements.
This Self has songs of love to sing to us, inspirations to take us into sublime heights of contemplation and a whole world of Joy to introduce to us the infinite possibilities of fulfillment and meaning.
This Self is our Inner Master. He or She is waiting for us with an unlimited patience.
This Master is our friend on the path who would like to show us the delight that flows behind all the forms. When we hear enigmatic phrases such as: “Know Thyself!”, taken by Socrates from the Delphic oracle, or “Who am I?” (Nan Yar in Sanskrit), pronounced innumerable times by the sage Ramana Maharshi, we should find the answer in an inner experience, capable of leading us to the Beacon of our existence.
